The artifacts in this series are not private objects, they are garbage: cast aside and shaped by the forces of man and nature. Separated from man by time and distance, these objects have persisted in their environment for days, months or years. The locations of the objects are recorded on a street map of Allentown such that the viewer might be able to travel to a location and see where an artifact was retrieved. The objects comment on urban consumption and sanitation and contemplate the role of the individual city dweller in the creation of these artifacts.
